We LOVE Portugal, however there are some interesting things we have learned since being here. 1. They are a very friendly people, but not smiley, so no need to smile at them as you pass them on the street. 2. The little "extras" that they put on your table in a restaurant are actually appetizers that you will pay for, not tasty freebies. We hope that if we stop eating them that we will stop having to pay for them. 3. They really dislike it if you donºt order drinks with your meal or if you plan to share what you order, including pizza. We ordered one pizza, and the waiter thought we were nuts, they bring out a full size pizza, do people here really eat one themselves? 4. There is pastry EVERYWHERE! Which means Kelsey is in heaven and Ty is trying to find some roast beef and potatoes. 5. On the trains it is neccesary to find your car number, not just your seat numbers. Luckly, the couple were English that had to explain this to us as we were cozying down in their seats in Car 4 (our car was 1). Also, take a gravol before boarding as they whiz down the track which is enough to make most a little motion sick. We have more pictures to show you, but are at a slow connection and our time is up in 1 minute. So, you will have to stay tuned for when we are in Lisbon (tomorrow) for the picture part of this post. Hereºs the photos, finally!
