Our bed on the comfy granite at the Stansted airport in London, waiting for our 6 am flight to Portugal.
Itºs amazing what a difference a 2 hour flight can make! We arrived here safe and sound, but in need of some serious rest. We havenºt seen much more than our little room yet, but weºve been truly amazed at what we have seen. In many ways, it actually reminds Ty of S.E. Asia with the small shops, busy people and foreign language. To him it has a bit of a Thai flavour somehow. Kelsey remembers the small winding cobblestone streets of Europe, the smell of salted fish (itºs hard to pick fruit in a tiny store that smells of salted fish), and of course the pastry. OH the pastry!
Weºre muddling through with simple Portuguese/French/pointing at what we want. Itºs good to be reminded of how humbling it is to not speak the local language. Hereºs a few pictures of our first day. Our internet time is running out so weºll post more later. Blogging is a different experience when you pay by the minute.

Hi guys, thought I would check in on the world travellers. Looks like you are having a wonderful time. I have been painting with some friends at a nearby lake, just a beautiful day with just a hint of fall. Keep up the happy travels. Hugs Brian and Joan
