Footloose in Toulouse

Last week we were veritable tourists in France! We spent one whole day at Toulouse's "Cité de L'Espace", which is Europe's best space exhibit. We took the english "audio tour" and saw the 3D IMAX of "Space Station".

From the future to the past, we spent the next day in the ancient city of Carcassonne, which has been a strategic military fortress for hundreds of years, as well as the set of Robin Hood with Kevin Costner! Seriously, this is the coolest castle ever. Lots of secret chambers, a moat with a drawbridge, murder holes, stone cannon/catapult balls, the works. Très Cool!

The next day was Kelsey's SPECIAL BIRTHDAY!! 26 on the 26th! She had an awesome day and there are lots of stories to tell, but we'll sum it up with a photo tour of the day.

In the afternoon we drove to Albi again for more birthday fun.

Kelsey would like to say that it was a GREAT birthday. Special thanks to Cécile for the flowers and the birthday lunch, to her parents for birthday supper, to the Armstrongs for their gift in the mail, and to the Lawsons for my travelling backpack!!!!
